I Just Blogged to Say I Love You (Vol. 5)

1. Let's start with Downton Abbey.  I know I'm late to the party on this.  Officially.Obsessed.  Seasons 1 & 2 down, I just started Season 3....no spoilers, please!!!  Also, Maggie Smith.  I love you. ♥

2. This mascara.

3. Can a person fall in love with quiche?  I believe, yes.

4. Have you *had* Jeni's Ice Cream?  If it is available to you, please eat a pint for me.  I promise, the calories won't count.  Never heard of it?  Pop over, see where a few of us visited (and possibly sampled every single flavor), and drool.

5. Now that we've eaten our ice cream, let's be sensible with 2-ingredient pancakes: banana + egg.  Seriously.  I can't wait to try this...and top them with chocolate chips, or maybe Nutella.

6. Wasabi Noodles.  I need you in my life.

7. Gingham cake stand.  I need you in my life, too.

8. I've gone through several books lately that I *haven't* really enjoyed...but this one, I did.  Silver Girl by Elin Hilderbrand.  Not heavy, not difficult, just a good read...I looked forward to tucking into bed with it every night.

What are you loving lately?

  12. I was totally late to the Downton abbey party too... We just started watching it last week, and I'm halfway through season 2 (would have been totally caught up if it weren't for having a 7 month old!)

  16. Most recently I am loving your blog! I've really been getting into baking lately, and broadening my horizons. I've gotten so many great ideas from your blog, so THANK YOU! Can't wait to keep digging around for fun ideas. :)

I have Downtown Abbey on my queue to watch. It's hard to find the time though since I have 3 small kids. By the time THEY go to bed I'M ready too!

Ahhh, mascara. I'm a make-up artist, so you're speaking my love language there. My favorite out of the plethora I've tried is Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black. Amaze-balls. Better than any of the expensive stuff.

I have yet to try Jeni's ice cream despite the fact that there is one about 1/2 hour away from me, and right around the corner from my mom's house. I know...it's a problem.

  20. I love Downton Abbey! I watched the first 4 episodes before they were released in the US, which I was excited about at first...until I felt completely left out as everyone live-tweeted on Twitter. I'm all caught up now. So glad you like it!

Also, thanks for the book recommendation. I was an English major in college & grad school, so I feel like I missed out on a ton of great fiction for 6 years and am still catching up. I also went an entire year without being able to finish every book I started, so I know what you mean about reading a bunch of books you haven't enjoyed (and commend you for finishing them!)

Tonight we flipped over and re-watched an episode of Downton Abbey just because we love it that much!
I'm totally getting that mascara and you've got to have that gingham cake stand in your kitchen!

  24. Of course you can fall in love with quiche. I see absolutely no evidence to contradict that.

As far as Jeni's is concerned: I want all the flavors. Gah.
